Need Way to Issue Tenant a $ Credit Amount

Please add a way to give a tenant a credit off their rent for the month. Just like you can add a charge, please add a way to deduct off the rent due.

any update on when this feature will be rolled out? given it was requested ~2 years ago and is an extremely common issue, I'd hope this would get prioritized. Thank you!

Yes please! The platform needs various types of credits and refunds as Derek Cedillo laid out. I would love to be able to electronically return a security deposit instead of cutting a check and mailing it. The more processes that can be handled from within TurboTenant, the better!

I would also like to credit my customer for an expense they incurred. When will this feature be made available.

Allow over payment

My tenant over pays by a little bit every month but the system does not allow me to put the total amount in and have a credit available for them to use. Currently I have to manually calculate the overpayment, then manually enter the next month's rent charge, then apply the additional amount. Additionally, it would be great if we could accelerate a recurring charge rather than having to enter a one-time charge, then go back and alter the recurring charge. However if we could put in a payment that leaves a credit amount, this amount could just be applied when the recurring charge is automatically issued.

Create a feature for landlords to apply credits towards future charges and record payments prior to recurring rent charges.

I would like to add a function under this feature. Most payment systems have a "cancel payment" button that csn be done within a day or so... at minimum a few hours after submitting payment. Tenants should be able to cancel a payment incase of error i its not been processed or in transfer mode yet. Please consider this! It is a great addition to have

In general, any kind of credit should be considered:
1) Credits for repairs or expenses born by tenant
2) Refunds of late fees "forgiven"
3) Return of security deposit (full or partial, with documentation field if not full - preferrably linked to the security deposit charge)
4) Refund of erroneous payment by tenant (i.e. typo when applying monthly payment)
