Picture handling

Right now you app has limitations on the size and quality of the picture it can handle or pictures get distorted. Most people will post pictures directly from their phones and don't want to go to the trouble of resizing them. Your app should be able to handle high quality pics and get them converted to the format you need by your app

Josh C Thank you, my post was merged with this one! But it does not stay at the top of this post for some reason. I agree longer description should be added, along with the higher resolution picture ability

I agree, increased picture dimensions to meet modern day (or even 5 years ago) smartphones. And enough text to clarify amenities + tidbits about unique properties should have been something implemented from the start.

Merged in a post:
Listings: Pixelated Photos & Limited Description Text

This is for marketing/listing:
- Allow Photos to be uploaded that are normal dimensions taken on a modern iphone 4000 px x 4000 px.
- And allow up to 2,000 characters in the description box (just to be safe for properties with a lot of features or unique amenities/criteria)
WHAT TURBO TENANT CURRENTLY ALLOWS:
- Right now TT limits photos to 500 x 500 px which makes the photos appear pixelated and less detailed on the websites (Realtor, apartments.com, Zillow)
- Right Now, for descriptions, TT only allow 1,000 characters and the includes spaces so it's barely anything

I would love both of these.

Thank you for your feedback on how images are handled in the app. To help us better understand your needs, in what part of the app were you adding adding images? If you have a video or screenshot you're comfortable sharing here, please do!

Sara Capra I was adding them as part of my post using the Android app. I contacted customer service and they told me that your system is setup to handle pictures up to 900x900 and with a given pixel density. Anything above that gets distorted. Most cellphones these days take pictures that exceed your maximums

Yeah, 500 px x 500 px is year 2005 level resolution LOL

ALSO when uploading additional photos the images are not available in "preview" mode/the page where photos are uploaded, so I cannot see what I did or did not upload. And can we please upload a "group" of photos? If I have 10 marketing photos to upload, it is a hassle uploading one at a time

Grant Marsh I agree but the biggest concern is the end result. Not allowing a proper description. And images appearing low res when compared to other companies/peoples listings on the main sites
